During its first years of existence, Expedita was fully dedicated to research projects like SAM - "Services and Applications for a world-wide Market" coordinated by Deutsche Telecom and Lufthansa Systems Berlin, or TourISt - an INTERREG project coordinated by Madeira Tecnopolo. Both of these projects aimed to create an electronic marketplace and e-commerce platform for the tourism sector.

Based on this experience, Expedita developed his own technology for the Tourism domain that nowadays covers multi-purpose central reservations systems, dynamic-packaging algorithms, knowledge bases for regional promotion, besides more specific solutions like TimeSharing Sales Management or a complete Ferry Sales and Operation Control System.
