For the 2005 operation, Açorline started with the support from the xRS platform for availability management and ticketing issue in passenger and cars transportation.

With its first reservation on the 2nd May, the solution provided by Expedita and totally accessible though the Internet was developed and successfully deployed within 3 months. The overall system includes a BackOffice interface for commercial management and offer definition, a web based FrontOffice for reservation and reporting, and as light interface accessible through mobile communications for ticket validation during the ckeck-in operation.

Açorline is responsible for passenger and cars transportation between the 9 island in Açores, supported by two ships, the "Lady of Mann" and the "Golfinho Azul". This operation involves the management of more than 1.400 products, with most of them representing dynamically-routed-packages on the remaining.
